Job Summary
The Shipping Laborer supports daily shipping and warehouse operations by preparing, handling, loading, and shipping materials and products in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This role ensures outgoing shipments are properly packed, labeled, and documented to meet company and carrier requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets
• Verify shipment contents against packing slips and orders
• Operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap)
• Maintain clean and organized shipping areas
• Assist with inventory counts and material staging
• Follow shipping schedules and delivery deadlines
• Adhere to safety procedures and workplace policies
• Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to lift, carry, and move packages up to [XX] lbs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or shipping experience
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with shipping labels, barcodes, and scanners
• Experience with common carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL freight)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed

Work Schedule & Conditions

• Day / Evening / Weekend shifts available
• Overtime may be required during peak periods
